In many cases, the AMRTs can clean mold off surfaces like food preparation areas without damaging them. Most efforts involve scraping the mold off framing and other building materials, however. They use a combination of cleaner and brushed to remove them, but if the mold had time to penetrate the surface, MRTs also have the option to use sanders to remove the top layer of wood to get at the mold. If they penetrated drywall, it is more cost-efficient to replace affected panels than to expend the time and effort trying to repair them.
