Storm Damage – Montgomery Condo Building

Storm damage occurred at this Montgomery condominium building when rainwater from a horrific thunderstorm flooded the garage and storage unit area of the facility. SERVPRO of Montgomery North was called in to mitigate the water damage caused by the storm. We used sump pumps, and handheld pumps to clean up the standing water. The flooring of the garage and storage area was concrete which absorbs a tremendous amount of moisture, so we employed the use of several commercial air movers and dehumidifiers to aid in the drying process. It takes several days to dry out concrete such as this and the process needs to be monitored with high tech moisture detection meters. The results were required by the insurance company which is standard procedure.
